Transfers beyond this area are available for $3/mile (one way).
What is included in the $1,700 Simple Cremation?
Simple Cremation includes our basic professional services and overhead, transfer of your loved one from the place of death within our 26-county Standard Care Area, the first five days of refrigeration, and cremation for a person weighing under 300 lbs. It also includes a Kraft Box alternative container, a black plastic urn suitable for scattering, burial, or shipping, division of ashes upon request, local pickup at a designated location, completion and filing of the death certificate, Social Security notification, a basic online obituary, newspaper placement assistance, and an American flag for U.S. veterans.
How do I receive certified copies of the death certificate?
We complete and file the official death certificate as part of every cremation package at no extra charge. However, certified copies for legal or financial estate matters are purchased separately through the state for $20 per copy.
What are the options for receiving my loved one's ashes?
Local pickup at one of our designated locations in Lindsborg, Great Bend, or La Crosse is included in every package at no extra charge. If you prefer alternative arrangements, we offer hand delivery within 30 miles for $200 (plus $3/mile beyond 30 miles) or USPS Priority Mail Express shipping in the standard black plastic urn for $150.
Can family members view their loved one before cremation?
Yes. A private 1-hour family viewing for up to 10 immediate family members (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is included in our Private Farewell Cremation package. Viewing can also be added to Simple or Personal Cremation packages. Weekend viewings are available with a $200 surcharge for Saturday or $250 for Sunday. Viewing options depend on scheduling and the physical condition of the deceased.
